Wizard of Oz

TBD

December 2019

Ann Arbor Civic Theatre’s Junior Theatre program announces auditions for an adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, directed by Brice O’Neal with Tessa Hanrath, Ian Weintraub, and Tate Zeleznik. Auditions take place Sunday, December 8 and Monday, December 9 from 4:30-6:30, with callbacks on Tuesday, December 10 at 4:30. All auditions and callbacks are at the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Studio, 322 West Ann Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Rehearsals for this production will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 PM, and Sundays at 12:00. Performances are February 28 and 29 and March 1, 2020, at the Scarlett Middle School Auditorium. There will be multiple performances on Saturday and Sunday.

Auditions are open to young actors currently in grades 4-12. No pre-registration is required. Actors should plan to arrive a few minutes early to fill out forms, and plan to stay for the duration of the audition. Auditioners only need to attend one of the general audition sessions (Sunday 12/8 or Monday 12/9), and they do not need to prepare anything. There will be readings from the script and theatre improv games. Everyone should come dressed to move, and with long hair tied back. For more information and character descriptions, please visit www.a2ct.org or contact the A2CT office at 734-971-2228.

A2CT Jr. Theatre program is a great introduction to live theatre for children ages 4 and up. Young actors audition, rehearse, and perform together. Each performance is a fun time for families and audiences of all ages.
