2012 Improv Workshop
taught by Glenn Bugala
So you want to improve your improv skills? We have a fun, low-stress, non-scary way to do it! In Fall 2012, between Nov. 3 and Dec. 15, Ann Arbor Civic Theatre will host a workshop on improvisation. This entertaining course teaches students how to live in the moment, interact with others, accept new information and utilize it—all without scripts! The finale of the course is an improv show for friends and relatives. The workshop is taught by A2CT's own Glenn Bugala, who will be directing A2CT's upcoming production of "Chess" and whose previous shows have included "Our Town", "Tommy", and "Front Page." He has taught workshops on acting, directing, auditions, and other subjects.
This class is designed for all levels! If you've never acted and want to learn acting techniques that are simple and really work, this workshop is for you. Class size will be limited to allow participants maximum stage time.
Classes run every Saturday from 1-3:30 starting November 3rd. Class will decided whether or not to meet the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 24). Last class is December 15, 2012. All classes take place at A2CT’s rehearsal studio at 322 W. Ann St.
The final improv show will take place during the final class time.
The Improv workshop is for people ages 16 and up. Cost is $150 per participant, payable in advance to cover all six weeks of the workshop.
